This collection is called 'UP' for two reasons. First reason - upcycling. It's a way of creating useful things from used things. My project breathes a new life into old textiles that have already had one and helps to discover the beauty in their history. In our workshop at My Guru we cut the pieces from different fabrics. Putting them together gives us a lot of fun and satisfaction. It's a slow, lengthy process with no place for haste. We create unique, one-of-a-kind pieces of clothing, we mix jeans with other textiles, everything inspires us and motivates us to create new clothing. We treat each one of our shirts and dresses like our children. And the second reason? It gives us wings!
