Japanese knotweed - LIFE FORCE earrings
Picked on a lawn in the botanical garden of Ljubljana in 2019. For those who need life force and perseverance in their lives.
This is a highly invasive plant in Europe and USA, and almost impossible to get rid of. It’s native to Japan. But although this plant might be a nuisance in nonnative countries it is also a miracle medicinal plant very high in youth preserving resveratrol.
Flowers are valued by some beekeepers as an important source of nectar for honeybees, at a time of year when little else is flowering. The young stems are edible as a spring vegetable, with a flavour similar to extremely sour rhubarb.
