McDonald's has 378 restaurants all over Poland. Each restaurant generates large amounts of waste in the process of communication with promotional banners and menus. Environmental arguments are incredibly relevant to McDonald's who are looking for new ways to limit its negative impact on the environment. For this reason, we came up with an upcycling idea to utilise advertising banners from restaurants, giving them a second life in the form of practical unisex bags, calendars and notebooks.
We make these original products out of advertising/mesh banners, rollups and car seat belts.
We've established long-term cooperation with McDonald’s to make the best use from restaurants’ waste marketing materials. Marketing is fundamental for McDonald’s sales; however its environmental impacts are of the same importance. Our circular effect helps McDonald’s reduce their impact on the environment. We regularly convert their advertising banners into hundreds of bags which are given away to employees and clients during all sorts of events - we have already transformed more than 1500 square meters of old ad-banners, and the figure is still growing. Our solution can be applied to any old marketing materials, which indeed is of inspiration for any other company willing to reduce its environmental impact.
Our economic model is built on scarcity. Infinite wants and limited resources. A fully circular economy offers the prospect of a global economy which is regenerative by design and abundant. As a business and as a citizen you are aware that to answer waste management we require ‘rapid, far-reaching and unprecedented changes in all aspects of society’. This coupled with technological disruption won’t make your success long-lasting. You wouldn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to give a second chance to your waste, saving on limited resources while gaining new products at no cost and more importantly joining the spectacular circular movement. Wasting is so problematic, start by not wasting your time and write immediately your successful story with DekoEko!
