We made this bag from discarded roller blind fabric. We gave it a chance to become a handy and capacious bag because we love upcycling. Our bags have a simple form, like a paper bag for sugar or flour. We sew them locally, in our small workshop in Poznań, Poland. Each one of them is beautifully wrinkled and filled with love. Because gnieciołek is not an ordinary bag, it is a bag with a message to inspire! On its strap there are hashtags that were chosen by the My Guru community on Facebook. This strap is our little manifesto. These hashtags are slogans that bring positive energy, give power to change and above all show that we are on the green side - #loveanimals, #lesswaste, #whomademyclothes, #fairtrade, #fairtradefashion, #climatechangeisreal, #upcyclingdesign, #lesswastemorelove - to name a few of them :) Selected consciously, all of them are close to us and we try to live in harmony with them. What about you? Create a world around you. Have an influence.
The functions of the gnieciołek? It holds a lot. An inseparable companion for shopping - it has already been tested in grocery stores, construction stores and shopping malls. Just don't be surprised when it refuses to enter the butcher shop, that's just how it is ;) It has already successfully carried paints, various cords, tubes and scissors for art workshops. It carried books (and it especially likes those with pictures in them), folders with documents, sketchbooks with ideas and infinitely many of the most necessary things, not excluding a hammer. It carries everything bravely and does not complain. Cat owners beware - a moment of inattention and the cat is inside.
The roller blind fabric is not waterproof. When it gets dirty you can wash it gently in lukewarm water. It softens when washed but becomes stiff again when dry. Then you just need to crumple it a bit and that's it. Be careful - before washing, take the cat out of the bag!
